Libraries in the Digital Age (LIDA) is an international biennial conference that addresses the changing and challenging environment for libraries and other information institutions in the digital world. LIDA 2018 will take place during June 13-15, 2018 in Zadar, Croatia, a charming Mediterranean town located on the Adriatic coast. This year’s theme is "Social Justice, Community Engagement and Digital Libraries: Access, Diversity, and Inclusion". LIDA is a forum for dissemination and discussion of critical and theoretical aspects of the theme as well as examination of best practices from the field, and practitioner perspectives and applications.
The LIDA PhD Forum, held in conjunction with the main conference, provides an opportunity for five doctoral students to present and discuss their dissertation with senior researchers and other doctoral students in relatively informal setting and to receive feedback on their research. The PhD Forum focuses on advising students regarding critical issues in their research proposal, and highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of their research proposals. PhD Forum is in general targeted at students in their second or third year of a PhD program who have formulated their research problem, theoretical framework and research methodology.
All topics within the main LIDA 2018 call are acceptable as topics for the PhD Forum:
