Sarah Barriage is an Assistant Professor in the School of Information Science at the University of Kentucky. She completed her PhD in Communication, Information, and Library Studies in the School of Communication & Information at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Her research focuses on the information practices of children and youth with a particular focus on early childhood, as well as issues of social justice as they relate to children’s librarianship and information institutions. She is also interested in developing and implementing qualitative research methods that privilege participants' voices, including participatory and arts-based methods.
