Rachel Pierce is a senior lecturer at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science at the University of Borås. She has a PhD in women’s history from the University of Virginia and an MSc in Library and Information Science from the University of Borås. Her publications include articles on the politics of sexuality and feminism during the Cold War and articles on digitized photography and metadata, with a focus on feminist descriptive practices. She also conducts research on the relationship between the physical and the digital archive. Pierce is the coordinator for the international master’s program in Library and Information Science, Digital Libraries and Information Services at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science, housed at the University of Borås.
