Boris Bosančić, PhD is an associate professor at the Department of Information Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Osijek, Croatia. In 1996 he graduated Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Faculty, University of Osijek, dislocated in Slavonski Brod. He got his BA in Library and Information Science at Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zagreb in 2003. In 2009. he obtained his MA in Library and Information Science at Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zagreb with thesis "Knowledge bases of online reference services". In 2011 he received Ph.D. in Information Science Department of Information Sciences University of Zadar with dissertation "Text encoding of Croatian old books using TEI". His interest are theory of information, metadata, semantic web (linked data), markup languages, etc. He has published several scientific papers as well as display and participated with a presentation at international and national scientific meetings.
