Alica Kolarić obtained her MA degree in philosophy and comparative literature (1999) and library and information science (2000) at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, Croatia. She earned a PhD degree in 2021 at the University of Zadar, with a dissertation entitled Understanding adolescent information behavior from the perspective of informed decision making process. Since 2020 she has been working at the Department of information sciences of the University of Zadar as a research assistant. She is a member of the Reading Committee of the Croatian Library Aassociation (2020 - ), as well as a corresponding member of IFLA - Libraries for Children and Young Adults Section (2019 - ).
